  • Yeoungyeoungchukseongbi (memorial stone)
    • Tangible cultural property No. 4 designated by Daegu Metropolitan City.
    • Location: San 90, Manchon-dong, Suseong-gu (square in Yeongnam Jeilgwan)
    • In 1737 (in the 13th year of King Youngjo’s rule), Min Eung-soo, the then Governor of Gyeongsang Province and Head of Daegu Dohobu Office, rebuilt Daegueup Castle, which had been torn down during the Japanese invasion of Korea, in the form of a stone castle. The Yongyoungchukseongbi records the rebuilding process and scale of the castle. This memorial stone was originally erected outside of the South Gate, but since its demolition in 1906 (in the 10th year of the rule of King Gwangmu), it had been moved around until it settled at its current location in 1980.
  • Daegubu Suseongbi (memorial stone)
    • Tangible Cultural Property No. 5 designated by Daegu Metropolitan City.
    • Location: San 90, Manchon-dong, Suseong-gu (Square of Yeongnam Jeilgwan)
    • This memorial stone records the full-scale renovation of the castle in Gyeongsang-gamyeong by Kim Se-ho, the then Governor of Gyeongsang Province and Head of Daegu Dohobu Office.
    • Originally built outside Daegueup Castle, the memorial stone had been moved to several locations after the castle had been destroyed 1906 (the 10th year of the rule of King Gwangmu). In 1932, the memorial stone was relocated to Daegu Hyanggyo (Daegu Confucian School). In 1980, when Yeoungnam Jeilgwan was rebuilt, the memorial stone was moved to its current spot.
  • Igonjebi and Gunsu-Leehubeomsun-yeoungsebulmangbi (memorial stone)
    • Tangible Cultural Property No. 23 designated by Daegu Metropolitan City.
    • Location: Iseogong Park, Sang-dong 182, Suseong-gu
    • Size: Building (one memorial stone house of 9.72㎡), three memorial stones (two Igongjebi, one Yihubeomsunbulmangbi)
    • The Igongjebi (memorial stone) was erected to pay a tribute to the contribution of Lee Seo who had devoted his private fortune to build an embankment that ran about four kilometers along the Shincheon (stream). The reason for this embankment was to prevent floods and construction began when Lee Seo assumed his newly appointed post as a judge for Daegu in 1776 (the first year of Jeongjo’s rule). The Gunsu-Leehubeomsun-Yeongsebulmangjebi was built by residents in 1899 as a commendation for the great service of the then Governor Lee Beomsun. He had managed to fix the Igongje embankment, in a short period of time, by using government funding and avoiding the imposition of any financial burden on the residents. Big floods had damaged the downstream side of the embankment thereby threatening the safety of the Daegueup Castle in 1898 (2nd year of the rule of King Gwangmu).
